Promises Made & Promises Kept

                           Promise made ….. Promise Kept

I wonder at times what unbelievers think of the Bible; or even if they think about it at all?

It’s one of the oldest written works in the history of humanity. It’s a history book [provable by secular-historians], it’s a “story book,” and it’s a “How Too” manual. …. And it’s the “All-Time-BEST Seller.”

It seems to me one can view prophesies as either “Predictions,” or as “Promises.” Because they are historically provable and have been investigated and confirmed; they bear the weight of “Absolute Truth.”

One of the clear evidence of the Bibles TRUTHS lies in the many very old prophesies that have been completed, affirmed and confirmed [by historians’]. Not just one or two: but many. The one I am sharing today was Predicted around the middle of the Eighth Century B.C.; about Eight Hundred years before it was kept.

King James Version (KJV) Protestant Bible

Isaiah 7: 10 Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying , 11 Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth , or in the height above. 12 But Ahaz said , I will not ask , neither will I tempt the LORD. 13 And he said , Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel .

Isaiah 7: “10 And the Lord spoke again to Achaz, saying: 11 Ask thee a sign of the Lord thy God, either unto the depth of hell, or unto the height above. 12 And Achaz said: I will not ask, and I will not tempt the Lord. And he said: 13 Hear ye therefore, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to be grievous to men, that you are grievous to my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son and his name shall be called Emmanuel.”

King James Version (KJV) Protestant Bible

Luke 1: -26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. . 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said , Hail , thou that art highly favored , the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be . 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold , thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. . 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 33 And of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be , seeing I know not a man? [Meaning “I am a Virgin”] 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. [Third Person of the One God: Blessed Trinity] 36 And, behold , thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible . . 38 And Mary said , Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”

Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David: and the virgin’s name was Mary.  28 And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 Who having heard, was troubled at his saying and thought with herself what manner of salutation this should be 30 And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God. 31 Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb and shalt bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name Jesus 32 He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of David his father: and he shall reign in the house of Jacob for ever. 34 And Mary said to the angel: How shall this be done, because I know not man? [Meaning “I am a Virgin”] 35 And the angel answering, said to her: The Holy Ghost [Third Person of the One God: Blessed Trinity] shall come upon thee and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And behold thy cousin Elizabeth, she also hath conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her that is called barren. 37 Because no word shall be impossible with God. 38 And Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it done to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”

Nonbelievers keep asking for “hard evidence.”  Promises Made; Promises Kept is HARD EVIDENCE. It’s been researched, and confirmed as actual events. So why then; do unbelievers persist it ignoring the obvious truth. GOD MUST EXIST!

Love and prayers,

Isaiah 7:14: Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Matthew 1:22-23: All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’–which means, ‘God with us.’

Micah 5:2: But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.

Matthew 2:1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 31:15: This is what the Lord says: ‘A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are no more.’

Matthew 2:16-18: When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: ‘A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.’

Hosea 11:1: When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.
Matthew 2:14-15 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘Out of Egypt I called my son.’

Isaiah 9:6-7: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Genesis 22:17-18 [Spoken to Abraham]: I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

Psalm 72:17: May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.
